For those of you who aren't aware...

We are very close to completing recording for our debut album Western Weaving, after which we will mix. We are shooting for a March/April release, dependent on label interest among other factors.

We've got a couple of gigs coming up:

Sunday 19 Jan at the Sandringham Hotel, Newtown, with Nevetherym and The Veil. Doors open 7pm, we'll be on around 9pm. $5.

Friday 1 Feb at the Lansdowne Hotel, Broadway, with The Veil, Knife Waltz and one more TBC. 8pm. Free!

Ironwood will be performing on Saturday September 15th at The Harp (900
Princes Hwy, Tempe) with support from Daemon Foetal Harvest (Wollongong),
Synperium (Southern Highlands), and Sword Toward Self. Doors open at 7.30
pm and entry is $10.

Due to recording and other committments we are almost certain that this
will be the last performance for Ironwood in 2007.

Ironwood is playing twice this week:

-Thursday 30 Aug, at the Lewisham Hotel, 794 Parramatta Rd, Lewisham. We are headlining, supported by Downstairs Rising, Carrier and Tuesday's Spoils. $10, doors 8pm.

-Saturday 1 September, at the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, opp. Newtown Stn. This is a daytime event as part of the Under the Blue Moon Festival. We will be supported by Horrorwood Mannequins and The Veil. The gig starts at 10.45am with a Viking ritual, and Ironwood takes the stage at 2.15pm. Free!

The two sets will be very different, the former focussing on our extreme metal tendencies and the latter on our more acoustic side.

Ironwood will be performing in Canberra and Wagga in June.

We will be playing at the Basement Bar, 2 Cohen St Belconnen on Friday
15th June with Diamorah and one other band. We'll be on stage at 10 pm.

On Saturday 16th June we'll be at the Home Tavern in Wagga, again with
Diamorah and others. The night starts at circa 8pm.

For our Sydney fans - be patient! We will arrange more Sydney dates
shortly.

As we have sold a large proportion of our T-shirts we are currently
preparing a new T-shirt design which will hopefully be ready soon.

Finally, planning for the recording of our debut album is underway.
Exciting times are ahead for Ironwood.

-The Lewisham Hotel of Friday 20th w/Dark Order, Sabretung and Loveshark ($10?)

-The Empire again on Thursday 26th w/Sword Toward Self, Damarill and maybe one more (free again!)

We have no gigs booked after this, so it might be your last chance to check us out for a while.

Ironwood will be appearing on metal show The Dead End tonight.
For those of you in Sydney, tune into 2RRR 88.5 FM from 10pm.

On Thursday 1st of March, we're playing at the Diamond Lounge, 244 Pitt St. Headlining are The Veil, we're second from last, and before us are The Angel Affair and acoustic sets from Jade Flynn, Josh Overett and Johanna Kemp. Cover is $8.
